Prof. Jay Farrell (IEEE Fellow) Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of California, Riverside, USA
Jay A. Farrell earned B.S. degrees in physics and electrical engineering from Iowa State University, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Notre Dame. While in the Autonomous Vehicles Group at Draper Lab, he received the Engineering Vice President's Best Technical Publication Award in 1990, and Recognition Awards for Outstanding Performance and Achievement in 1991 and 1993. He is a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of California, Riverside. He has served the IEEE Control Systems Society (CSS) as Vice President Finance and Vice President of Technical Activities, as General Chair of IEEE CDC 2012, and as President in 2014. He has served on the Board of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department Heads Association, as IEEE Education Activity Board treasurer, as a member of the IEEE Financial Committee, and three terms on the IEEE Fellow Committee. He served as Vice President of the American Automatic Control Council (AACC) in 2018-2019 and as President in 2020-2021. He was named a GNSS Leader to Watch for 2009-2010 by GPS World Magazine in May 2009 and a winner of the Connected Vehicle Technology Challenge by the U.S. Department of Transportation`s (DOT`s) Research and Innovative Technology Administration in July 2011. He is author of over 250 technical publications and three books; a Distinguished Member of IEEE CSS; and, a Fellow of AAAS, IEEE, and IFAC. | ![]() |
Prof. Olivier Marin Professor of computer science practice at New York University in Shanghai, China Olivier Marin received my PhD in Computer Science from the University of Le Havre, France, in 2003. Then became a postdoctoral fellow for a year at the Vrije Universiteit of Amsterdam, Netherlands, in the Dept. of Computer Sciences. He have been an associate professor at the Laboratoire d'Informatique de Paris 6 (computer science department) of the Université Pierre & Marie Curie, and a member of the INRIA REGAL team since 2004. | ![]() |

Prof. Yutaka Ishibashi (IEEE Senior Member, IEICE Fellow) Nagoya Institute of Technology, Japan Yutaka Ishibashi received the B.E., M.E., and Ph.D. degrees from Nagoya Institute of Technology, Nagoya, Japan, in 1981, 1983, and 1990, respectively. In 1983, he joined the Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Public Corporation (currently, NTT) Laboratories. From 1993 to 2001, he served as an Associate Professor of Faculty of Engineering, Nagoya Institute of Technology. Currently, he is a Professor of Graduate School of Engineering, Nagoya Institute of Technology. From June 2000 to March 2001, he was a visiting researcher, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, University of South Florida (USF), USA. He was the Head of Department of Computer Science, Nagoya Institute of Technology from 2005 to 2006 and from 2007 to 2009. He was a College Director at Nagoya Institute of Technology from 2016 to 2020. His research interests include networked multimedia, QoS (Quality of Service) control, and remote robot control with force feedback. He was the Chair of the IEICE Communication Quality (CQ) Technical Committee from 2007 to 2009. He served as TPC Chair of IEEE CQR (Communications Quality and Reliability) Workshop in 2011 and 2012. He also served as ACM NetGames (Network and Systems Support for Games) Workshop Co-Chair in 2006, 2010, 2014, and 2017, Executive Committee Chair of Tokai-Section Joint Conference on Electrical, Electronics, Information, and Related Engineering in Japan, Chair of IEEE MAW 2017 (Metro Area Workshop in Nagoya, 2017). He was further IEEE Nagoya Section Chair in 2017 and 2018. He is currently a Vice President of ITE (The Institute of Image Information and Television Engineers) and Chair of ITE Tokai Branch. Prof. Badrul Hisham bin Ahmad (IEEE Senior Member) Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka, Malaysia
Badrul Hisham Ahmad graduated with honours degree in Electronic and Communication Engineering from the University of Leeds, UK in 1998. He received the M.Sc. degree from University Kebangsaan Malaysia in 2003 and Ph.D. degree from University of Leeds, UK for a thesis on the design and development of SIW filters in 2008. His area of interest is Advance Microwave Filters and Antenna Propagation. He is also an active researcher with a good track record with a number of research projects in RF and Microwave Engineering. He has published more than 200 journals and conference proceedings. He is a Senior Member of IEEE and a member of International Steering Committee of Asia Pacific Microwave Conferences. Yang Yue received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering and optics from Nankai University, China, in 2004 and 2007 respectively. He received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Southern California, USA, in 2012. He is a Professor with the Institute of Modern Optics, Nankai University, Tianjin, China. Dr. Yue’s current research interests include intelligent photonics, optical communications and networking, optical interconnect, detection, imaging and display technology, integrated photonics, free-space and fiber Optics. Pavel Loskot joined the ZJU-UIUC Institute in January 2021 as the Associate Professor after being nearly 14 years with Swansea University in the UK. He received his PhD degree in Wireless Communications from the University of Alberta in Canada, and the MSc and BSc degrees in Radioelectronics and Biomedical Electronics, respectively, from the Czech Technical University of Prague in the Czech Republic. He is the Senior Member of the IEEE, Fellow of the Higher Education Academy in the UK, and the Recognized Research Supervisor of the UK Council for Graduate Education.
